COVID-19 Precautions

PANDEMIC PRECAUTIONS

As a reminder, returning to play is a personal choice, and you should feel comfortable determining for yourself if you would like to resume activities in a small group environment. Empower Sports cannot accept any liability relating to resumption of group activities

 

We adhere to the St. Louis County COVID-19 Guidelines - please be familiar with their recommendations:

General Health:

  • If you are sick or have symptoms of an illness Stay home. Stay home regardless of what is causing your illness​

  • Please always follow CDC personal hygiene guidelines.

COVID-19 Cases or Possible Exposure: 

  • If you have been in close contact (within 6 feet) with someone who is suspected or confirmed to have COVID 19 follow St. Louis County recommendations (see link above) 

  • Advise your Empower coach immediately if any possible exposures have occurred

  • Confirmed or suspected cases of COVID-19 cases MUST practice quarantine measures and immediately contact your physician

  • If you or your child has been diagnosed with COVID-19 please confirm that you have a negative COVID-19 test from a recognized medical facility

  • If a player or parent has a confirmed case of COVID-19, we will let club member know and also provide as much information as we know about potential exposure to other players and/or parents so you can practice recommended quarantine measures from the St. Louis County Health Dept.

Player Interaction During Sessions:

  • Coaches will encourage distancing where possible but there will inevitably player contact at times during practice and games 

  • Coaches will ask the players to not spit, share water bottles, etc. 

  • Coaches will remind players to not touch their face during practice and game time 

  • Please encourage your children to cover their mouth and nose with a bent elbow when they cough or sneeze

  • Everyone should wash their hands, or use sanitizer, ASAP after practice and games.

Spectators at Practice and Games: 

  • Anyone who isn't vaccinated, attends at their own risk

  • We recommend face masks at all outdoor events

  • If there are any indoor events, facemarks will be required 

  • Practice common sense social distancing with other parents and spectators

  • If you are already part of a social group that interacts, then it is OK to sit together

  • The key recommendation is to USE COMMON SENSE, this is serious.

UNFORTUNATELY IF EMPOWER SOCCER HAS TO CLOSE THE SEASON EARLY OR IF YOU WITHDRAW DUE TO HEALTH OR COVID-19 RELATED ISSUES, WE CANNOT PROVIDE REFUNDS OR COMPENSATION DUE TO PRE-PLANNED FINANCIAL COMMITMENTS.
